Tyler grew up in Willard, Missouri. Attended Willard High School was active in band and football. He went on to Ozarks Technical College and has spent the past 4 years at Merrill Iron & Steel in welding/fabrication and also being a lead-man. Tyler works with his cousins and rest of his family to operate his family farm in Willard, MO.

Sarah grew up in Windsor, Missouri. Was homeschooled and attended State Fair Community College where she was involved with many agriculture organizations and also served as Student Government Vice President. She then transferred to Northwest Missouri State where she would soon graduate with her bachelor's degree in Agriculture Business.

Tyler and Sarah found each other through Farmers Only.com. They started talking November 3, 2014. They lived over 4 hours from each other. The day before Thanksgiving, they met halfway in Windsor, MO. Tyler then met Sarah's parents and got the grand tour of Windsor and the family farm. The next time they saw each other was when Sarah met his entire family in Springfield. And Sarah moved from Maryville to Springfield right after Christmas in 2014. They dated for 2 1/2 years and were engaged May 6, 2017.
